It’s great to witness another Christmas and one should not take it for granted
It’s that time of the year to celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus and everyone is gearing up for the special day. The streets are lined up with twinkling lights, huge pine trees well decorated and glittering decors welcoming everyone. The children are looking forward to the Santa’s visit and gifts in tow. It’s a time of reflection and it’s the birthday of the King. The euphoria is in the air and everywhere one turns there is the excitement of Christmas.

It’s great to witness another Christmas and one should not take it for granted. 365 days are gone by with all the highs and the lows; this has been made possible without any doubt by God.

What are your plans for Christmas? What are you up to? Ideally, Christmas should be the most restful and enjoyable holiday of the year but it is not for most people. They start with the rush and end up with a stressful Christmas. Well planned, you could have a beautiful, peaceful and restful time of the season.

Plan something different from what you’ve always done. Include your family or even friends in your plan. Make simple dishes and tell those that are coming over to help with side dishes and desserts. Get simple gifts; you don’t have to break a bank to get them.

You may give those who can’t really repay you gifts. People who are in need are always around you; the bereaved, single, poor, homeless, and refugees – if you look closely you’ll see and meet those in needs. Some are not living close to family, invite them over.

Organise a praise party where you just thank God for the gift of Jesus. Make barbecue. Have a family get together and make simple and easy meals. Get creative with children and make Christmas crafts, decors and meals.

Remember Jesus is the reason for the season, spread His love and share His gift with others. Let the joy spring forth from you and let the smile go round. Make the Christmas really merry for someone. Have a Merry Christmas!

Live life to the fullest!

JOLLY GOLLY SEASON
It’s the season to be jolly
Bring out the jelly
Make some dough and bake the cake
To share the love and for His sake
Yes, it’s the season to be jolly

It’s the season to be jolly
Let the streets and homes all be holly
The twinkling light and the garlands
To share the love in the land
Yes, it’s the season to be jolly

It’s the season to be jolly
Give the children some lolly
While we adore Him fully
Let His face shine with His beauty
Yes, it’s the season to be jolly

It’s the season to be jolly
Lift Him up for all to see
In this season to be jolly
Lift Him up for all to see
In this season to be jolly
