While his death sent shockwaves through the continent, the cause of his death is still not known. A statement by his Synagogue of All Nations Church read: “God has taken His servant Prophet TB Joshua home – as it should be by divine will. His last moments on earth were spent in the service of God. This is what he was born for, lived for and died for.”
On Sunday worshippers at the Ikotun, Lagos headquarters of the church, were seen weeping openly at the demise of the man they called “prophet.” Joshua started the Synagogue Church of All Nations in 1987. He was popular as he was controversial.
