Nigeria Ambassador to Italy His Excellency Yusuf Jonga Hinna
The Mission notes it could not provide consular services to people within the Lazio region only as such move would not be fair on people residing in other regions of the country
The Embassy of Nigeria in Rome is set to reopen from May 4. Following the two months lockdown as result of the COVID-19 pandemic in Italy, the Mission has had to scale down its activities in line with rules laid down by the Italian government.

AfroLife learnt that while consular activities remain suspended as a result of the ban on inter regional trips, the Embassy would be opened observing all the necessary rules on social distancing and protective measures against the Coronavirus.

The period it was also learnt would be used to clear up backlog of applications for passports and other consular services. The Mission notes it could not provide consular services to people within the Lazio region only as such move would not be fair on people residing in other regions of the country.
