Homeless Adofo murdered by Italian teens
A 40-year-old Ghanaian Friederick Akwasi Adofo has been gruesomely murdered in Pomigliano D’Arco, a town in the province of Napoli. Adofo who was homeless was beaten to death by two 16-year-old Italian boys.

On the heels of outcry over the incident, a Napoli court for minors has committed the two teens to custody. The boys have been accused of voluntary homicide with the aggravating factors of cruelty and futile motives over the deadly attack.

The court ruled that they should be held at the Nisida juvenile detention centre. The people in the town of Pomigliano held a silent march to mourn Adofo. Maria de Luzenberger Milnernsheim, the prosecutor at the Napoli court for minors, said the assault was “violent, sudden and without motive.”

Adofo is reported to have been attacked after he had settled down for the night in a sleeping bag. AfroLife gathered he was among new migrants arriving Italy by boats after perilous times on the sea.
