Salvini reminded of his admiration of warmonger Putin
Matteo Salvini the leader of Italy’s far right and anti-immigration party The League, got more than he bargained for on a recent visit Poland to “help” those fleeing Ukraine. On arrival at the train station of the Polish city of Przemysl, some 10km from the Ukraine border, Salvini’s hypocrisy was exposed to the whole world.
Salvini, who is an admirer of Russian President Vladimir Putin and once don a T-shirt with Putin’s face, Ironically went to Poland to “help” thousands of refugees dislodged from their country by Putin’s war.
Salvini was however told in uncertain term that he was unwelcomed by the town’s Mayor Wojciech Bakun who held up a replica of that Putin’s T-shirt and told Salvini to his face “I won’t receive you.”
“Come with me to the border and condemn him, (Putin)“ the Mayor added.
As if that insult was not a enough a group of Italian journalists at the scene heckled Salvini, calling him a clown and buffoon. “Go home,” they shouted at him.
