the suspension was necessitated by routine maintenance of the enrolment/capturing machine
The Embassy of Nigeria in Rome has suspended starting from the January 9 to January 20, the enrolment and capturing of applicants for passport. A statement signed on behalf of the Ambassador Yusuf Hinna, notes that the suspension was necessitated by routine maintenance of the enrolment/capturing machine. According to the Embassy, the maintenance is expected to last three days but enrolment and capturing of applicants would resume again on January 20.
The statement also urged applicants desirous of the Mission’s services to book appointment “and wait for approved appointment date,” adding that all previously booked online appointments have been cancelled. “You are please advised to start your booking immediately to enable your name to be placed on the access list to gain entry into the Embassy.”
The cancellation, the Mission explains, is to enable orderliness devoid of “unorganised condition in the consular hall which causes stress not only to the staff but also to our esteemed fellow citizens coming to obtain these services.”
