Killer cop Reynold murdered Okolie
During the trial of the killer cop, court heard that Reynold had gone to Okoli’s residence for a “shakedown”
24-year-old South African police constable, Austin Reynold, has been handed a 30 years jail sentence for the murder of a Nigerian Ebuka Emmanuel Okoli on January 19, 2018 in Durban, Kwa Zulu-Natal Province of South Africa.
During the trial of the killer cop, court heard that Reynold had gone to Okoli’s residence for a “shakedown,” accusing the Nigerian of being a drug dealer. He went on the mission with a long time friend Brindley Barlow. The two were aided to Okolie’s residence by another Nigerian whose name was simply given as Romeo.
Reynolds and his friend had doses of cocaine in Okoli’s bedroom before he was murdered. The presiding judge Shyan Gyanda quashed Raynold attempt to pin the murder on Barlow, describing him as a “self-confessed liar” who had “intentionally shot and killed” Okolie.
Reynolds was found guilty of one count of murder and three counts of robbery and sentenced to 30 years imprisonment. A diplomat at the Nigeria Consulate Bello Sambo expressed the mission’s satisfaction with the ruling.
