At just 26, Jessica Esohe Edosomwan has cut a niche for herself as one of the most wanted woman in Europe. Jessica name featured prominently in a list of 18 women just released by Europol, the European Union law enforcement agency.
Jessica, a Nigerian, stands out in the roll call being the only African or woman of colour. The French authorities are in the haunt for the Nigerian for human trafficking for which she is now legendary.
Jessica is alleged to have trafficked young girls for prostitution in major European countries such as France, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Belgium, Germany among others. AfroLife findings reveal that the 26-year-old specialty is trafficking girls as young as 16, with the belief they are easy sell in Europe.
Her major base of operation in Nigeria is Edo and Delta States, where she preyed on vulnerable young women desperate to make it to Europe and become “big” (rich).
Europol is also aware that Jessica mode of operation after luring her victims with the supposed sugar and carrot life in Europe, is to hold them captive with voodoo. All her victims are taken through rituals, which often times entail surrendering their pubic hair to Jessica as insurance they would pay her tens of thousands of Euro she imposes on them.
Europol disclosed that Jessica has been on the run since 2017, and is suspected to be holed up in France, Germany or Belgium. Europol spokeswoman Tine Hollevoet said the idea of publishing the list is to draw the attention of the public to it as that could facilitate the apprehension of the wanted fugitives.
Jessica Esohe Edosomwan’s trial is schedule to begin in November 2019 in France.
